I've got a friend trying to find me a P11 VLSD tranny in Japan and here's what he found.

I read that the P11 was introduced as early as 96 in other countries so I guess that would make sense. Also, I was informed that self identifying numbers aren't stamped on the case, so that opens the possibility for bad information by the junkyard.
I'm still waiting to hear back about the size of the axle seals to determine if it's LSD but how can I be sure it's the stronger more desirable tranny like we'd look for here in the US (>= 2000 P11)?
