The VE WAS VERY gutted. The guys running it told me that though they used an E model, they probably could have got the SE-R to the same weight by doing the same gutting, since it was SO gutted.

And I believe you are also correct in that they were using C16 gas.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see how it would do in street trim. A Sentra E would definitely be lighter than an SE-R in street trim.
