VE tuneup parts.

I figured I'd throw this out because I found it interesting, and never heard of it.

Many who have swapped in a VE have used the distributor off the original car.

I purchased my VE car all swapped in.

Apparently Jim Schumacher had something to do with the swap.

Well, I needed the usual garbage for the VE - cap, rotor, plugs.

Turns out the plugs are the standard BR6KE's - I gap mine to .040".

The rotor is special. Has an allen key bolt that holds it on, unlike anything
I've seen on a USDM car. The cap, on the other hand, is absolutely IDENTICAL
to the distributor cap on my 2002 P11. Bolt holes, alignment dowel hole, layout,
internal and external visual. So while I will still have to order a special 'VE' JDM
rotor next time, the cap is the exact same on as on my P11.

When I have the parts in my hand next time, since they're about 15 miles
away right now, I'll try to take some pictures, and throw out part numbers.

Nifty, huh?

Peter
