to add to the last post... about the trans:
It doesnt matter if it is turbo or n/a to acheive 13 seconds you need a good amount of hp and the trans has some weaks spots that cause failure. Some tactics to battle against the breakdown of the trans are shotpeening and welding the case and cryo treating the gears. Also polyurethyne motor and trans mounts are excellent but cause more vibration in the steering wheel.
I got a quote of 900 to shotpeen, weld and cryo treat a trans, but this was a speed shop sending it out, so if you can find someone direct and cut out the middle man you can proabably get it cheaper. I plan to get this done when I get the money for a VE swap.
