The MDM-100 was my friends which he used to connect to his S13 with a consult I port....so I guess that proves that the pin outs of the consult I and consult II are the same...and since I have a 97 ECU...should I not be able to use a consult box to connect to my consult plug and a serial active sync device for my PDA and be set? In theory it seems like it should work...any one think why it wouldn't?

I have a '99 G20 with a 95-97 JWT ECU, and my consult port works fine with the BlaZt cable and NissanDataScan software. It also works with CalumSult. The '99 cars are consult II, but the ECUs are Consult I. The port is backwards compatible, so Consult I software should work fine given that you are using a '97 ECU.
