the one wire connector i hard wired in....connector were different...(starter signal)
Does the 8 conn match the other 8 conn?? if so plug...and im sure there has go to be another spot for that 6 one....ill look in the car in a lil bit but for know this should get you started.
The one plug vs. two plug is the starter signal... should be black with white stripe; turn the ignition and test the thicker wire on the 2 pin; then check continuity between the single pin and the starter signal (at starter). The 8 pins should plug up together. The 6 pin one I want to say I left alone on my 98 swap... but this 98 was a stripped down XE with roll down windows.
