Well, as you know, this old geezer hasn't yet learned how to link pics directly here - I PROMISE I'll learn that tiny little datum - no time now, but here:

NO clunks; without the stupid coating on the springs it'd go on much easier (on the other hand they don't slip off - -), 6" piece; if I were to do it again I might go to 9" and bring it around where it might tap the spring seat on the 'front'.
Notice I left about a half inch off the end of the spring to sit in the pocket. DO take a file or grinder and round off the tip of the spring to approximate the shape of the seat pocket, else I'd bet it'd go through the hose as fast as the end of an un-filed AGX will go through the stock nissan insulator.
