i know many people who have saved their systems by useing alen heads or torx screws instead of normal screws. theifes see them and say "screw that" and move on. its pretty effective, but not all the time. also, dont get speakers with crazy grill designs, no stickers, and dont play you system loud when you pull up to your house or parking lots.

i have learned its just not worth it to argue with a person you dont even know.......and you may need their help down the road anyway.
