Northeast/NewEngland?

Any one for the New England, North East area going? I'll be attending along with my car, still trying to figure out how to get it over there...

Too long... I'm waiting for a convention in the Northeast for once. I know the one a few years ago was somewhere around D.C. - but I'd really like to see one in New Jersey or something somewhere.

Yup yup. I was quoted about $600-$700 from a few different companies to have a car shipped from PA to FL, and CA is much further than that. If I drive to Cali, it will prolly be around $175 for gas one way. (If I get only 30 MPG, I usually get ~ 33 or 34, and if gas costs $2/gallon) i would much rather drive than ship a car. You would have to pay for shipping AND then pay to fly over.

If you have a deadline the prices for shipping a car go up. I wanted to ship my car out for DD9 (the same week as SEMA) to Vegas. I was told 900 out and 700 back.

I ended up borrowing a car :P

What's up with the NE meets? Or East Coast up or down (I will drive south some)

Fly and flog a rental - it's the only way.

There are really sweet rental places that'll rent
you things like 350Z's, and much much more
exotic toys if your willing to pay the $$$.

Hell, I have lodging in the L.A. area all lined up
if it's near there. Otherwise, I might just have
to skip it. I'd love to go flog the crap out of a
rental on rental tires - full insurance, of course.
