Re: Dyno Day

What type of Dyno will it be? i.e. Mustang, Dynojet, etc. I have dynoed on a Mustang Dyno about 2 months ago at NRG in Tallahassee, FL, and was skeptical of the numbers. The way that the Mustang figures HP is based on the wieght of the car. Personnaly, I think it read too high, because for having a 180k mile car, all original, except K&N air filter, with stock exhaust, it said I had 134.2hp@6250rpm and 123.3ft-lbs@5000rpm. And knowing that the car makes 140hp at the crank, that would mean that I have a REALLY healthy motor or the old lady (original owner) put some mystery cams in it, which I doubt.

Re: Dyno Day

As long as I can still make it to the convention, I will have no problem dynoing my car.

Re: Dyno Day

Well, I won't "blow her up". Hopefully your car isn't detonating or something.

BTW, just so you guys know.

Mike Kojima will be there with his CONSULT wide band A/F ratio meter, etc, to tune cars.

Re: Dyno Day

I'm hoping to break the 151hp barrier with S3 cams.

I'll be switching to 2 1/2" exhaust soon.

Re: Dyno Day

My bottom end is very stock, even has an oil pressure issue, but I'm itching for an excuse to put the built engine in. I'm shooting for over 500 this go around. I was thinking 20 psi and a 50 shot, just for you, Steve (was 17 psi and a 75 shot before on a smaller turbo).
If that doesn't shut you down, I'll keep making runs until I do No, honestly, its all in fun. I hope you do make more power than I do, there's always some trick to be learned from others. It'll be a fun time, either way.
