Re: South USA Roll call: Who IS going to caravan?

Due to my sh*tty ass bank, I have still not received my bank card. I have been to them 6 times in the last two months trying to recieve one. I have no credit cards or other debit cards, so I have no way of paying for things. After all the bills, I will only have about $150 to take along, DAMN sure not enought to go to Cali and back on. I will get paid that Thursday night when we are in Cali, because I have Direct Deposit. But having no way of using that money with out a bank card, there is no way I can possibly go. So it looks as if I will sit this one out guys. Sorry, unless there is someway I can work out a plan with you guys, on repayment that is. PM me if we can work something out, but if not, it's cool. I myself would be reluctant to lend a stranger some money. There is always next year.

Holy sh*t, I just read this!!

What bank do you use? why not bring checks along and cash them in Cali? is there anyway somone like your uncle could loan you the money and you just wite him a check to cash on that friday or something?? have your bank wire the money to you via western union while we are there??? Anyways LMK. I still dont know if the 3rd person is going for sure, so if hes not and you can figure something else otu about your funds, you could jsut ride with us and it will be alot cheaper.

I use South Trust Bank, and been with them since I was 15, 7 years now. I don't know if I can cash my personal checks in Cali, since being out of state and all. But I will check on that. I am hoping that the bank/debit card comes in this week. I have checked with all the people in my area I know and none of them can go with me. So I might have to ride with you.
Plus I don't want to take a chance of getting another ticket on the Egg. 8 of us in 8 different cars outran an Alabama State Trooper today on the way back from Auto-x. Me on the Egg, a Prelude with Type-s motor, 2 Evos, a WRX, IS300, and 2 M3s. All of us passed him sitting in the median with me and the Prelude going at least a buck 25 and the others going well over 140 when he clocked us and tried to catch us!

Re: South USA Roll call: Who IS going to caravan?

I AM GOING!!! My bank card came in today. Now I need to know when you guys will be leaving tomorrow, so I can figure when to meet up with you. I have the money for my share of the hotels.

And speaking of the State Trooper, the bastard gave me a tint violation ticket today while I was in a gas station parking lot, while I was in the store getting a damn hotdog after I got off work. Then he asked me if I knew the guys who ran from him at Auto-x, because he said my car looked familiar!!!

Try doing it with a trailer. It took as almost as long to only go 1970 miles. Not to mention the added stop to repair the trailer wiring when the running lights quit working @ 1am. I think there should be an award for most horrific drive ;o)
