Crawfish and Beer anyone? ;)

Big John and I will be bringing several sacks of crawfish to boil on Thursday.. Just interested in how many people are actually going to partake in eating them? I'm going to buy several cases of beer as well to go with it... Our buddy Danny is going to be providing the potatoes, corn, garlic, hotdogs, and seasoning to go in..

Just trying to get a headcount on who's going to eat... so we can figure out roughly how much to bring.

For those who don't know what a Crawfish is... Here's what it looks like :-p

Here's a good site on the actual process..
http://www.fiu.edu/~edwardsv/wedding/cbpictures.html

And when you combine this..

and this..

It's pretty nice..

Travis

I will personally eat at least 1/2 pound, Travis. I last had some mud bugs during Mardi Gras, last month.

Bring it.

I'm bringing a bag, too.

Manor House has grills out by the pool so we shouldn't have any problems setting up.

lightweight I could eat 4-5 lbs and 7-8 beers in one sitting of course, I would never condone anybody to abuse their body like that

Who are your relatives in Thibodaux? My wife is from Thibodaux, and I live about 10 minutes from there.. in Houma.

I've got enough boil for about 3 sacks. Let me know if I need to get more materials. We'll pick up the onions, taters, sausage/hotdogs, and corn in Texas. My little 200 is filling up fast with pot, burner, propane tank, and supplies, not to mention, two peoples baggage, and tools n sh*t.

Well, it looks like we're going to have to boil them after the track event on Friday... Or, we can do it at the track maybe? I won't get there till late Thursday evening..

We have to be off the track premises by 6:00 PM. SCCA starts flooding the place at 6:30 PM.

If you can't make it before 6:00 PM on Thursday, we should call the crawdad boil off.

Well, I think a lot of people won't be there till late Thursday evening.. I don't see why Friday night would be a big problem. We could even do it Saturday.. Crawfish will stay alive for 4-5 days on ice. I've already prepayed for 3 sacks too..

I have no idea what a crawfish is, nor have I ever eaten/seen them before, but I'm sure they taste good. I'm down for some!
