TWS videos

Rick (black Spec V) had his camera in the car and a few times out, and took some videos. I still have a few more to go through, but here are some of them.

VE Flyby.

VE and B15 on the front straight:

Idiot B15 guy passing Rick:

Idiot B15 guy passing me in a corner, and with no point by:

Nnety-Nine SE-L on the front straight:

I have another one of one of the green B14s. I think it was from the beginner group, so it might be Erich's car. I'll try to get it this weekend.

What's sad is that guys lines were not so good. Without turbo power he would be a slow turd. Oh well.

I would have drug him from his car had we had an encounter. You folks are much more civilized than I.

I think he was on the juice. I looked under the car and saw a header and a junky looking secondary. Rick's car is very strong (intake, header, exhaust, cams, balance shafts removed, UD pulley, SAFC), and that guy pulled him hard on the straight, and me too. I think Rick dynoed at 178whp and 170 something wtq. You can see a puff of smoke from the tool's car, so he had to be spraying. I wanted to say something to him, but I didn't want to ruin the day. His girlfriend needed a belt for her pants also.

Ease up on the tool, guys. He was not the only one passing without a point-by; that's why we had the driver's meeting that afternoon.

I stand corrected. I just figured it as boost, it would never occur to me to run n2o on the course. I never looked at the car.

I'm really sorry if I offended anybody with my driving, although that doesnt give you the right to criticize everything about me. eric96se-r if i passed you on a non passing zone I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure that was on the 1st session. Here's some advice though, increase your driving skills on the curves, seriously you need to buy a life.

Marcus, thanks for the zip tie. I hope that next year you will actually drive your car on the track. I want to see how good of a driver YOU are. I saw how you criticized how my car sounded. The only muffler I could afford was an HKS Carbon Fiber one. And I believe having no muffler is kind of ghetto. You car certainly didn't sound any better, or like a badass car.

VQman, you talked to me so many times, you should have told me if something was wrong. You're a grown man, you shouldn't be so hypocritical, especially since I offered to let you stay at my place on your way home.

Next time you guys should just have some balls and tell me right then my mistakes instead of waiting until you are behind your computers.

For the other people, I'm really sorry if I offended you guys. That wasn't my intention. And don't get me wrong, most of the people I met were really cool, especially Jackson Diamonds, SE-R Dan, Bruce, Trance34 and the guy who drove the black 200sx from new mexico.

For those of you who wondered about my mods, It was my junkyard engine ( a recall one that burns oil), with 2.5in piping headers, 55 shot of nitrous, and a homemade intake. I didnt even use the nitrous on the curves.

I think the issue here is that you were not following the rules outlined in the drivers meeting. Because you were faster does NOT MEAN you can pass people. I am surprised you weren't pulled aside and or black flagged.

He was black flagged, and it was the 2nd session, because my wife was in the car. I didn't say anything to him about it at the track, because I didn't want to start anything there and ruin the track event. Nitrous is a big no no on any track except the drag strip. I was actually on the racing line when he decided to cut to the inside and pass me. I had no problem in letting people pass me since this was not a race, and I was on crappy street tires, and the last thing I wanted was to put the car off the track and mess it up 900 miles from home. I said someting to Geo about it, and that's why we had another driver's meeting.

Did he still continue this activity after he was black flagged/the drivers meeting?

I'm working on a video that's nearly 10 minutes long already. I have to cut some things down/out. I only had some footage from what I shot and what George Peters shot, so I'm pretty limited. Still some good moments, though!

Well, for some damn reason, I can't see the videos. Everything down loads just fine, but can't view anything... I thought I was over the Mac learning curve.

Jeramie shot about a 90 sec video in my car. He's the guy who won for best engine swap. I haven't talked with him yet, but at some point I think he'll be posting the vid.

With that video, and the great pics JP got of my car, my "old timers" disease will have plenty of props to help me remember. I've got some pictures, too, but will post them on my website with captions then provide a link... no laughing at my bare bones site.

Peace,
Mark

It was atleast twice for the window and once for a handheld camcorder she had. Are you the one that passed Geo on the brakes going in a turn with out a point by?
