Since things are already sold, never mind the raffle thing. This seems to be going pretty well.

I am glad to hear that it's all working out good for you! I was hoping to geta ride in your car during the convention, but I got caught up doing a few last minute repairs and such the night before.

Thats awesome... Im glad Erich and Ricks vehicles are getting fixed.

I figured Mossy Performance could throw Jon a bone on the repair of that beautiful car whos engine got blown....

Best of luck to everyone.... its not cool to have vehicles damaged all because of joining together to have a good time...

I am starting a fund raising for the red car on my forum, and even though I was the only one that went to the convention, many members are willing to help out.

It's his fault your car broke? You were in the car with him, didn't you observe how it was being driven? This is between you and Greg, but I have to stick up for him here because so far the implication is that it's Greg's fault.

I don't think we're talking here about who's fault was it or anything like it.
I just thought that maybe that all people including Jon that had some sort of problem should be helped in the same way as Rick and Erich

Ill drink to that......

Ive known Jon for several years
In the last year or two I have gotten to know Greg as well and buy ALL my Nissan parts from him.

Both some of the greates people Ive met in this community and I have no bias towards either and respect them both and probably will for a long time..

With that said, everyone else is getting help except the dude w/ the blown motor..... Im not saying its Greg's fault or we (as the sr20/serca community) owe Jon something but we should help..

on a side note...even if someone is driving your car hard on the track how do you stop them in the middle of a session without freaking out and being a total dick.....

Not the point anyway...

I did what I could the whole week I was still in TX to help Jon's process out.. I just wondered why others wouldnt try to help out as well. It seemed the whole weekend was full of people helping people. From chaning Pat's brakes Thrusday night, clutch jobs, suspension work, shifters, tuning etc etc all the way untill the end of the BBQ. Even after the convention the threads on here are uplifting to see ****** help out, convention goer or not...

Im not calling anybody out or beating around the bush cause if I wanted to call someone out I would.. I stand by my word.. anybody who knows me knows that...

I just think Jon's situation has been left out and I dont understand why-I guess.

Oh sh*t... I'll give my 2 cents on this...

I in no way meant for this to be a flame war over a convention... Thats the last thing I would do...

Okay lets do this folks... We know that Jon can get a DE motor from Soko for around 350 bills is that correct?? (I've never ordered a motor so I wouldnt know much less researched the going prices)...

How about I start a thread to try and get Jon the help he needs?? Fair Enough?? I'm humbled by the amount of help I got... sh*t, I can't believe everything that's happened as a result of this community... I knew I gave up my Lightning for a good reason...

Let me know if you would like me to start a fund-raiser for Jon... I'm beginning to think that maybe something was worked out between Greg Vogel and Jon that none of us know about?? Can someone find out for us before we jump the gun??

Cheers-
Erich

Nothing's been worked out by him and Greg as of now and Jon already has a replacement DET longblock that he shelled out some hard earned $$ for...

Luckily a friend of his from Dallas had a spare DET longblock (which we now know needs a rebuild) and brought it down in the back of his P10 to the BBQ.
