In order to have the convention in FL, you would need to get a group willing to do the work. Let me tell you, its a ton of work. I seriously doubt it will be in FL anytime soon. There is always a track event on one of the days. I for one don't want to plan another convention. We only had maybe 5 people from FL come to the '03, and it was in Alabama. I think more NE and So Cal people came.
I like middle of the country, texas, MO, OK, CO, KS, etc. Then it's not too far for everyone.

I also vote for Chicago. Right in the middle, so it's easy to get to. Plenty of nearby stuff to do. IE: drag, dyno, track, show, shop, strip(ers), etc...
I'm thinking Texas for '05, somewhere in the northeast for '06, Chicago for '07, maybe Florida for '08, and then back to AZ for '09.
The Florida attendence in Alabama was utterly pathetic. That was the closest one ever held to them and they didn't even bother to show up. I think we need to see a lot more effort on their part before we could rely on them to plan a convention. Are there even any SERCA members there?
Its an incredible amount of work and I have the utmost respect to those that have taken on the challenge in the past.
