Track slots are filling up FAST and beginner and intermediate groups are almost full. If you're putting off registering for the track event you better do it ASAP!

In an effort to not clutter this whole section up with stickies, I'm making this the only sticky. I WILL link to the current stickies for reference but I'm going to make this section like a "Top 10" list of things that you should be thinking about or things that you should all know. That being said:

#1 - I have already (as far as I know) contacted everyone by e-mail and/or private message that this affects but if you registered for the convention prior to March 15, 2006 we are expecting to receive your payment by April 1. For these people, if we do not receive your payment, you may risk being booted from the track event. I will be following up at a later date but similarly those who register by April 1, we will be expecting your payment by May 1. Everyone registered prior to May 1, 2006 will be expected to have paid by May 1. This is because of #2......

#2 - Effective May 1, 2006 all prices will increase. This is simply to discourage people from waiting until the last minute. The last thing we want to be doing at the convention is taking in money, organizing things, and doing math. We want to enjoy ourselves just like the rest of you so we'd appreciate everyone getting their registration and payment taken care of prior to May 1. http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread....06#post1430706

#3 - The track event is almost full. Please reference the two threads below for updates from our track coordinator:

BEGINNERS:
http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/148981-beginner-group-almost-full.html

INTERMEDIATE:
http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/149386-intermediate-group-almost-full.html

#4 - The attendee list and "who's paid" I realize this list isn't completely up-to-date but Ray's doing his best to keep up. He's completely overwhelmed by the enormous number of registrants. Anyway, here's the list:

http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/148078-attendee-list-whos-paid.html

#5 - Group buys. As of right now we only have a group buy on Carbotech brake pads (I love them and have them for my track pads!). That thread is located here:

http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/149405-convention-group-buys-carbotech.html

#6 - Information regarding the track event. This is labeled as a "MUST READ FOR TRACK EVENT PARTICIPANTS" Obviously, please read this and subscribe if you feel necessary:

http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/148208-if-you-registered-track-must-read.html

#7 - Convention banners. If anyone has any connections with other forums and would like to help us promote the convention, here's your place to get the banners:

http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/147617-help-promote-convention-download-banners-here.html

#8 - The official convention press release. I've already sent this to several media outlets (with no responses unfortunately), many dealers, and other forums/mailing lists. If you know of another outlet that may like to be aware of our convention, please feel free:

http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/147612-official-convention-press-release.html

#9 - Directions. I will be forwarding these directions to Matt for inclusion in the convention information page but I've included them here as well in the meantime (the thread will be deleted when they are added to the information page):

http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread....45#post1430745

#10 - The infopack. The directions linked above are a sneak peak at some of the information in the infopack. We'll also have recommendations for restaurants (not EVERYTHING available but a good variety of choices), DIY carwashes, stuff to do for the free day (including a lot of information on NYC, drag racing, etc, local Nissan dealers (for when you blow up your car on the track and no one local is nearby to assist you), and more.

Update: 3/28/06

I don't think I should replace stuff above so I'll expand on the "Top 10" to make it a "Top.... List"

#11 - Some people have come to me asking what the t-shirts will look like. It kind of slipped my mind that we haven't posted what they'll look like. Honestly, many of you are being very trusting in just assuming that it'll be a nice t-shirt. Well, here it is. Hope you guys like it. It will be on a gray t-shirt with organizers and track instructors getting different colors:

#12 - Don't forget that the deadline for reserving rooms at the Embassy Suites hotel is April 9. You wouldn't want to have to stay elsewhere at a higher rate and miss out on all the fun now, would you?

The picnic menu has been posted as well as the info pack (convention guide). It's 85 pages for you to print whatever you want. Printed copies will be available at the event as well.

#13 - Raffle, raffle, raffle! I don't know if everyone has seen the raffle list but you can view it here:

http://www.sr20forum.com/2006-se-r-national-convention-pennsylvania-new-jersey/153705-convention-raffle.html

We are not listing specific prizes but you can believe me that it is not in an effort to "fool you" and get you to buy raffle tickets only to raffle off t-shirts and hats. The raffle prizes are real, I have seen them, and physically touched many of them. We will post what all of the prizes are after the convention but, by then, it'll be too late to buy more raffle tickets. Remember, you don't need to be present at the convention to win so those of you who are claiming how much you "really want to be there" stop bitching and moaning and buy some raffle tickets to support the cause. Those of you who are present, I guarantee will have googly eyes when you see and hear some of the prizes we have. I will only say this... money-wise, if you total all of the prizes, we are just short of the price of a new Sentra <- the look many of you will have on your face when you hear of the prizes

To purchase tickets, go to the convention main page and register for raffle tickets.
