In an effort to not clutter this whole section up with stickies, I'm making this the only sticky. I
WILL link to the current stickies for reference but I'm going to make this section like a "Top 10" list of things that you should be thinking about or things that you should all know. That being said:
#1 - I have already (as far as I know) contacted everyone by e-mail and/or private message that this affects but if you registered for the convention prior to March 15, 2006 we are expecting to receive your payment by April 1. For these people, if we do not receive your payment, you
may risk being booted from the track event. I will be following up at a later date but similarly those who register by April 1, we will be expecting your payment by May 1. Everyone registered prior to May 1, 2006 will be expected to have paid by May 1. This is because of #2......
#2 - Effective May 1, 2006 all prices will increase. This is simply to discourage people from waiting until the last minute. The last thing we want to be doing at the convention is taking in money, organizing things, and doing math. We want to enjoy ourselves just like the rest of you so we'd appreciate everyone getting their registration and payment taken care of prior to May 1.

#3 - The track event is almost full. Please reference the two threads below for updates from our track coordinator:

INTERMEDIATE:

#4 - The attendee list and "who's paid" I realize this list isn't completely up-to-date but Ray's doing his best to keep up. He's completely overwhelmed by the enormous number of registrants. Anyway, here's the list:

#5 - Group buys. As of right now we only have a group buy on Carbotech brake pads (I love them and have them for my track pads!). That thread is located here:

#6 - Information regarding the track event. This is labeled as a "MUST READ FOR TRACK EVENT PARTICIPANTS" Obviously, please read this and subscribe if you feel necessary:

#7 - Convention banners. If anyone has any connections with other forums and would like to help us promote the convention, here's your place to get the banners:

#8 - The official convention press release. I've already sent this to several media outlets (with no responses unfortunately), many dealers, and other forums/mailing lists. If you know of another outlet that may like to be aware of our convention, please feel free:

#9 - Directions. I will be forwarding these directions to Matt for inclusion in the convention information page but I've included them here as well in the meantime (the thread will be deleted when they are added to the information page):

#10 - The infopack. The directions linked above are a sneak peak at some of the information in the infopack. We'll also have recommendations for restaurants (not EVERYTHING available but a good variety of choices), DIY carwashes, stuff to do for the free day (including a lot of information on NYC, drag racing, etc, local Nissan dealers (for when you blow up your car on the track and no one local is nearby to assist you), and more.
