Since there is going to be the free day... Are there any drag race tracks in the area? Would anyone be interested?
Englishtown NJ, is about 1 hour and 45 minutes away, there schedule is not out yet for the 06 season. Unless someone from the area can chime in and let us know if there is anything closer. Thanks

Sat will be a free day. So if you guys want to plan on drag racing thats fine. The convention organizers aren't going to formally plan anything though. We can put directions to the local drag strips in the pamphlet of info you will be getting.
Most of the drag strips won't be very close though. There is Englishtown which you have already mentioned. Atco which is probably about the same distance. Then in PA there is Maple Grove which is down near Reading, PA. They will all be at least 1 hour and 30 mins away.
Thanks for the information David: If you can put the information about the drag strips in the flyer that would be wondeful.
I am ready to go racing. I am not a road course racing guy but I do enjoy watching. Lets get a pole on who wants to go drag racing and we can figure it out from there.
I run at Englishtown and Atco quite often. Englishtown is going to be your best bet. It's a highclass, national drag strip w/ excellent facilities. Englishtown is also much closer. If we get a group together I'd be happy to lead the caravan. Saturday mornings/early afternoon are typically open test and tune. Keep an eye out for their schedule...
Although they have not released their schedule yet, there is a chance the Northern New Jersey Region SCCA will have an autox that day as well. They run at Englishtown on Saturdays. They run a great event. I ran w/ them for a couple years.
