Convention Hotel Information/Reservations

Since Linus is slacking about posting this, I'll do it for him This should be coming from him and anyone with any questions or anything should contact him (VVLtrain)

Attention all convention attendees

Hotel information is now available and you may now start booking rooms. This
is for the Embassy Suites in Parsipanny, NJ (Friday & Saturday night).
Information pertaining to the “track hotel” will be forthcoming.

Suites at the Embassy Suites (for those of you who do not know, their setup
is usually two double beds or one king and a sofa bed in the living room)
will be as follows:

King Suite $99 per night
Double Suite $109 per night
Triple Occupancy $119 per night
Quad Occupancy $129 per night

We have 7 King rooms and 33 double rooms blocked for each night. The price
of your suite includes the two amenities that we’ve all come to know and
love – the manager’s reception in the evening as well as the breakfast buffet
in the morning (http://alnk.org/bonychimp)

The parking lot is large enough to accommodate trailers and such. There is a
police station in the vicinity so stupidity (burnouts, revving loudly,
driving around the local streets or within the parking lot quickly, etc, etc,
etc) will not be tolerated. We have already requested that the police make a
pass through our parking lot a few times each evening as a courtesy to those
concerned about the security of their precious baby in an unknown parking lot.

Please make your arrangements for roommates in this thread. Once you have
arrangements worked out, please call the Embassy Suites at 973-939-2116. The
name that the block is under is “SE-R Convention” If there are any doubts or
problems, the woman that I set everything up with is Erin Berkowitz who is
the sales manager. I am the one who blocked the rooms so they might be able
to find information under my name. You shouldn’t have to get to that point
anyway since it is under “SE-R Convention”

You have until April 9, 2006 to make your arrangements and then to book a
room. They were very generous to allow us as many rooms as we requested and
were very generous to hold them as late as they are. Please make your
arrangements and make the call to the Embassy Suites as soon as possible.
Let’s show them that we’re a serious group and that we blocked 80 rooms for a
reason!

Any questions, comments, concerns, please address them to Linus (VVLtrain).

That's strange that we are getting hit with a different rate, depending on the number of people, but it's still a kick ass rate. I'll call tomorrow and reserve my room.

I remember others (not specifically which one/year) being the same charging an extra $10 or something per person

How large is the size of the place to park trailers? Is there a place to park a motor home and trailer? about 60 feet long?

The parking lot is a decent size but I would think that the trailer/camper would take up a good amount of space. If you are absolutely set on bringing a camper, maybe we can find camping area near by. Although I am not sure how popular trailer camps are in the NYC metro area.

James you actually convinced your Dad to come with you to the convention? NICE! Or, are you driving the motor home?
