Convention Group Buys (carbotech)

This thread will feature group buys for people attending the convention.

Current Group Buys

Carbotech

Only those driving in the track day will be eligible for this group buy

CARBOTECH PANTHER PLUS PADS (only Nissan OE applications):

A high torque brake compound delivering reliable and consistent performance over a very wide operating temperature range (150F to 1250F). Advanced compound matrix provides an excellent initial "bite", high coefficient of friction (0.54-0.56), and very progressive brake modulation and release characteristics. Panther Plus offers high fade resistance, rotor friendliness at all temperatures, excellent cold stopping power, and non corrosive dust. As a result, Panther Plus is an excellent choice for beginner-novice lapping day and high performance driver's schools on street driven cars using street or R-compound tires, eliminating the need to change brake pads at the track. Panther Plus has gained tremendous popularity with SCCA Prosolo/Solo2 competitors for its fantastic bite and modulation. In addition, Panther Plus has seen great success as a race-only pad on lighter improved touring and vintage race cars (ITC, etc). Not recommended as a daily-driving street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.

Price: $99 (plus shipping)

Contact: Matt at Carbotech (877) 899-5024

Please note: Matt has a current list of people driving at the track event and will be checking that when you order

Hey guys, just wanted to check in. This is essentially the same exact deal we have done for the past few events. Panther Plus compound for any OE Sentra caliper (heck we'll even throw in the 240SX too), $99+shipping (which will be ~$12ish).

I just did Road Atlanta with Panther Plus and I had forgotten how good that compound is. Repeated stops from 120mph going into turn 10a. Never a hint of fade. Good stuff that P+...

I have the list of attendees, so don't think you can call up and put one over on me

We're also probably going to be doing some raffle certificates like last year as well. Gotta get working on that...

Matt

No, you have to be driving on the track.

Be forewarned about these pads. Make sure you have headache medicine and your seatbelt on when you bed the pads in. Your head will hit the steering wheel.

Not sure if anyone has asked, but will there be any specials on the less aggressive bobcat pads? I would like something that I can use for daily driving and on the track.

Thanks again for offering the community deals like this!

The bobcats are not recomended for track days like this. Matt would be better able to explain but he has never said the bobcats would be good for a track day. They are GREAT for the street though.

I will be calling Matt later on today to discuss any further deals he may be able to do.

Yeah I searched a bit about the bobcats. I remember Matt saying they were used on the track before and assumed it would be ok for a newbie like me. Only reason I asked was my stockers need changing too. (I was being cheap) I was hoping I didnt have to buy 2 sets of pads. But better be safe than sorry I guess.

This IS a great deal on these pads though. Hard to pass these up! I'll have to give Matt a call soon

The only reason there is a disclaimer on the Panther plus is because they dust a lot. So some people don't like cleaning their wheels often.

As for any other deals for other pads, there won't be any for now.

Not on the forum much lately since neck injury - we'll be back at it soon, babying the n00bies.

JWT S4, HS 6, Home Depot Intake, Hypercoil 2s w/ KYB "GR-Poo", CF Sunroof Delete panel, and other crap - where's my interior?

The XP1109's kick ass. I can't imagine why you'd need the those.

Dust a lot, last quite a while, and chew the ever livin' sh*t out of your rotors
if you drive them on the street. I don't think I'll ever put another pad on the
front of Nico.
