what application do you use to view it? I tried windows media and only got audio. I tried quicktime and it caused it to crash. I tried some other video player and it just didn't work.

Most of the footage was from george Peters with some Matt hunt thrown in. The racing on the freeway was NOT us, as we don;'t condone that type of thing. It was actually just random fools as Matt was taping. The white Maxima in the parking lot though...

heh... yeah... there's a group of guys that like to go racing on the hwy's around Austin. You have your ricers and then the 1000whp Supras racing Busa's with nitrous bottles. There's one stretch of hwy, right near where the hotel was, that's elevated 3 lanes with no ramps on or off for a couple miles. But anyways...

Ok, here is the deal with this video.

First of all, this video in unfinished. It was my first attempt at an event highlights video and I kept making changes and editing more.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites for an extra night as we were flying home the next morning. George and Leslie Peters were also there for another night and George had shot a lot of video. (Lesson #1 of making a highlights video: the more sources of video the better your video will be by far) I had my Powerbook G4 with me so we dumped his videos on to my HD.

If anyone is at the ES on Sunday night, I would love to get your video to make another highlight reel.

I am sorry for the bad music because I hate music in car videos. Compilations are a notable exception because if done right music can enhance the video. In this case, the music was because I was trying it out to see how I could implement it. Either way, I am currently saving out a new version that is a 720x480 MPEG-4 file without any music. There are a few fades that went with the music but you can hear all the wind and engine noises. Other than music, my other pet peeve are car videos that are overcompressed and a really low resolution. I'll post the link when it's saved and uploaded.
