In an effort to address a concern that prior convention attendees have voiced (and it's been a concern for myself as well in the past), I'm going to try to do a convention scrapbook/registration book. Some had expressed an interest in having everyone introduce themself at the Meet N Greet. If we did this, it'd take 45 minutes to an hour and would get boring fast. It'd be like an AA meeting! In the past, I've had trouble getting around to seeing everyone. I've had times where I was speaking with someone on the flight on the way home only to realize someone was even at the convention. Someone I would've loved to have bought a beer and spent a few minutes talking to. In lieu of having everyone introduce themself, someone suggested doing a sign-in sheet so that you can check the sheet to see who's there. I want to take that a step further. We had, early on, entertained the idea of doing a yearbook of sorts but it would just be a logistical nightmare.
So, I'd like to ask all of your help in putting names to faces and doing this scrapbook, I'd like if everyone could bring a picture of themself to add to the book. A maximum of 4" X 4" and we'll put your name and forum name next to your picture. And, after the convention, I hope to be able to include this as well as any other pictures attendees would be willing to send me as well as videos and compile all of this on a DVD for people to purchase as a momento.
