Anyone bringing their Gopeds? I'll have my screamer there.

Caveat: Pocono track rules for other events prohibit "two-, three-, and four-wheeled vehicles in the paddock for the purposes of personal transportation." I wouldn't be surprised if that restriction applies to our event as well... - GA

That would be a first. I've ridden it there a couple times. However, I was thinking more along the lines of the hotels and picnic.

Greg, are you SURE about that? I remember going to an SCCA race there 4 or 5 years ago and they allowed scooters. Is it a new rule maybe?

I want to, but I don't think I'll have room.

Yup. Here's the supps for the SCCA event the following weekend. Page 6, last paragraph. It *could* be an SCCA limitation, but this type of rule is almost exclusively put on the sanctioning body by the track (why would SCCA care?)

http://www.nescca.com/registration/S...6-RS-163-P.pdf

I'd suggest contacting PDA. If Pocono put the limitation on them, Cassellas would certainly know. - GA

Postscript: more and more tracks are putting in these kinds of limitations, mostly due to insurance. LRP specifically prohibits "two-wheeld vehicles", including bicycles (which is why I bought a Honda Gyro), simply because people were getting hurt and suing the track...

Hmmmm, sounds like a challenge to the Gyro...(which is probably why these rules get written in the first place... )

I better start tweaking the Goped this w/e. If we race for pinks, do i have to drive it or can I get someone small to jockey for me?

Yeah, because it's so tough to put them back away after you've already taken them out!
