KNOCK SENSOR NEEDED!!!

So, I'm assembling my beautiful engine, and my 1/2" drive gun falls & lands on my brand new $225.00 knock sensor. Without this sensor, the ECU will go into limp mode right? If not, it will, at the very least, retard the timing completely?

Anyone have a used one I can have/buy/whatever? I think I can try and drive it to SERCA, buy one from someone, and drive back with it installed.

Let me know please! This last minute unforseen sh1te is killing me!

Not on the forum much lately since neck injury - we'll be back at it soon, babying the n00bies.

JWT S4, HS 6, Home Depot Intake, Hypercoil 2s w/ KYB "GR-Poo", CF Sunroof Delete panel, and other crap - where's my interior?

Harry, if you wind up needing to order a new one and want to ship it to somewhere up this way, let me know. My ECU's playing games and I have codes for knock, O2, and closed loop. So don't feel so bad if you think you'll be the only person there with a check engine light on It'll be my second convention with that problem... both ones that I helped host!

I have one for a RWD SR. OE part # 22060-30P00. If it's the same you can buy this one. I bought it new from Courtesy for $125 because I thought the one on the car was faulty. Turns out it was a different issue. You can have it for $100 if needed.

I may have one here I can get my hands on.... I'll let you know. Will driving up there w/out a knock sensor cause me driveability/economy issues?

I really appreciate all the responses I've had - I can't believe how incredibly quick everyone is to help someone who's doing their sheit at the last minute.

(btw, the engine's in..... running tomorrow...)

Shouldn't. I've had the knock code for a week now with only a slight stumple off-throttle
