They're local to PA?...wonderful. I'll have to keep an eye out for these clowns at future track events. I have another track day at Summit Point next week. If I see that red S4 there, I'm marching straight to the track marshall.
I don't know about the EVO, but the S4 had NY plates that had his username from the Audi forums.
Damn right, he shouldn't have. When I was instructing (I think saaby), the EVO passed us on the inside when our car was about 10 feet from the grass. We were going about 110 and he flew by us, he might even have put 2 wheels on the grass. That idiot should have been kicked off for sure.
I believe he was in the green group Friday. Didn't he have an instructor?

I remember during one session on friday the EVO was still flying around the track (and passing people without a point) well after the checkered flag was out.
He was not approaching a right hand turn. That is the front straight on the East Course. There is a slight kink at the track entrance where the cars are staged.
Ah, right kink. Well, the camera car didn't make it that far! I knew it was a right something!

From a friend on another forum I'm on she posts very rarely on here:

Well, the Audi-tool's resume just keeps getting better and better. Talking to a friend of mine from NY who just heard about this past weekend's "excitement" at Pocono, it comes out that he's dealt with Mr. Audi as a work-skipper at local autocrosses! And, the next time the tool showed up at an autocross, my friend told him to go home, that he wasn't welcome because he skipped his work assignment at the previous event. The tool's response was, "I just spent $9 in tolls to get here!" and my friend said, "That's just too bad."
So, it looks like his assclownery isn't limited to taping his friends wrecking into staged cars and ignoring instructors' directions.

What a scam, $25+ for 3-6 minutes of driving and you have to work.

stuff like that makes me scared to run a road race event...specially with crazy fools like that...
Part of the problem is people don't seem to understand "It's not a ROAD RACE". It's a driving school. Anyone who calls persists in calling it a road race should not be on the track because they have the wrong attitude from the start. Makes people push harder then they should, causes problems. Until you sigh up for your competition license classes you are in a "high performance driving school" situation. It's almost like everyone should hold hands before every event and chant "It's a Driving School"
Wow that was crap. I'd be so pissed if i was either the g35 or nsx driver. Time and money just thrown away in less then a second.
The setting up cars inside the actual track seems kinda sketch. I remember my HPDE at Watkins Glen and all the cars where kept in the garage area until it was time to drive. And when they were set up to go they were behind a barrier leading to the straight.
Maybe pocono should change where they let cars setup.

Salvisol, I'm suprised your the first to say that. I can't beleive the cars are just sitting out in the open at ANY point on a track with no barrier or anything. Clearly the EVO guy couldn't drive, but hopefully the track operators learned a lesson as well. I'd be pissed if I was one of those guys.

IIRC Correctly, there was a certain OG saying that the EVO and his STi friend had 'a ton of engine power' but 'no driving skill'....and this was very early Friday as the two above cars started up for the first time....and at first that can be taken with a grain of salt, however watching him pull some GT4 maneuvers passing me in the Green group helped support the above comment, and now realizing this was the same EVO really helps drive that point home.
