^^^It's a nice place. HIdden inside of a neighborhood. There is 103 db limit at the track.

Ok, I also went to the No Problem Raceway Park site, pulled the info page and made a call to Linda at the track office. Track rental is $1500 for the day. Ambulance and paramedics crew are $40 per hour for 8 hours for a total of $320. There are no stated provisions for wrecker services, we would be on our own for that. We would also have to provide our own corner workers (6 flag stations) and start/control personnel. The cost is cheap at only $1820 for the day, but there would be much more labor for us to take care of to run the event. Does anyone know how to run a racetrack for the day?
Keep me in the loop, I'm in for whatever direction we head for 2009.

The one in SC looks interesting as well, same designer as Gingerman.
And Autobahn CC FWIW. Alan Wilson tracks all tend to be pretty similar in feel.

You also have to consider what the surrounding city offers to convention attendees. Like Savannah I've never hung out there so I can't really say what there is to do in Savannah.
Memphis I'm sure has a lot to do since it's a pretty famous city.
Alabama I can't comment on, but I hear good things about Barber. I'm going to try to get out there for a track day in october.
Anywhere near Miami would be good for the young bachelor guys looking to pick up some hot women, lol. Miami has plenty of that
One other thing to take into account for the track is insurance if the track requires it. Some tracks may not be mentioning it thinking we have our own insurance.
I already know it is WAAAY out of our price range. Think about 2 or 3x more expensive than Road Atlanta.
If that's the case, then Roebling Road looks like the best option. ANd the people I've talked to are nice to deal with so far. Initially, she said it would be hard to get a spring 2009 date, but when I told her we were looking for a Friday and not a Saturday or Sunday, she said it should not be a problem.
ANd Hilton Head isn't too far away for a nice Saturday at the beach.
Or we could do like Penn/NJ did last year. Thursday night in an inexpensive hotel near the track, relocate to Atlanta for Friday night and the rest of the weekend. About 3-4 hour drive and I don't think the Atlanta nightlife even cranks up until 9 or 10 pm on a Friday. That should satisfy all of the folks looking for a night on the town. As well as give plenty to do for the rest of the weekend for everyone else.
Any thoughts from whomever is making these decisions?
