I agree with this, but I would feel weird without my car at a convention. I think some would agree. its not only about the cars I understand. I've been to a few meets without my car and felt very weird. Plus I saw what one of my friends went through at a convention without his car. I think he took it a little far though and got on my nerves. Either way car or not a convention is still fun!!!!!!!
I dont know what it even feels like to have my car at a convention!!

I had thought you took your car to the Cail convention. I still can't believe you drove that. Did you win the longest distance travel award?
I drove from fort lauderdale to vero beach where I met up with the forum member "Justin" and we rode out in his b14 from there. He took the award for the longest drive since we drove his car.
This "you got to attend other conventions" is bullcrap!
Serban, Will, Justin and MYSELF (NY/NYC last year) have attend SERCA conventions. I am sure I am leaving some more FL people out. Back in 2003 we even had our own "little" nissan day where over 300+ Nissans attended. And you say we do not have any experience to host an event like this?
Below is a picture of today's little mini Nissan meet. This is maybe just half of the SOFLA Nissans. Imagine having to organize for a SERCA convention down here, I will GUARANTEE a FL SERCA Convention will blow out every SERCA convention attendance record... with just FL cars. Imagine what kind of convention we can have if we included all you fine people into this picture. Not to mention we have world renown Miami Beach close by and the wonderful night life.

It took us less than 40 hours, non-stop.
I cant rememeber what it was now, I think it was either 36 or 38 hours, but dont forget, we did stop in El Cajon at JWT (seemed like the middle of the ghetto) and waited there for a little while when they re-flashed my computer. Then we drove from there to LA. I just remember picking up the other Justin thinking he might be a serial killer, lol remember that? Then waking up in the middle of the night somewhere in TX when he was driving going over like 110 and I was like wow, and he said "Go back to sleep, Im making good time" lol. Good times. Id love to help throw a convention down here Sebring track would be too expensive probably. We would have to look at homestead or Moroso (I think they have a road course now)
We could make it huge, if all the FL guys pull together. I remember back in 03 when I drove to the AL convention, there were like at least Id say 25+ FL guys that said they were gonna go and we could caravan yada yada yada. When it came down to it, I was by myself, Russell came by himself, and Erice and Mark from Tampa came together I think, but we all came seperate. That being said, that was still kinda far, so I do think that all the FL guys would show. If anybody wants to get this going for 09, let me know, lets get going!
Yeah I knew homestead had one, and I was pretty sure Moroso had one. My guess is that Moroso would be the cheapest. Nice thing about moroso, is that obviously you know, they have the drag strip too so everyone who wanted to drag race could also.

yes.
Justin, you can count me in as a helping hand. Andreas Miko also told me he would help out.
im game for a florida convention. Does Moroso have a campsite? If you guys setup a campsite type deal where we stayed at moroso all weekend or whatever track to road course/drag/camp/picnic then went out on the town at night or Whatever that would be fun. Im not the camping type but being around a bunch of race tracks is fun to me. Replace the word "camp" with "hotel" for options... lol
Well seeing that I live in the area.. I know there are hotels in and around about 20 mins out of the way. Do to the fact that the actually park is out west.
I could see if I can get a list of hotels closest to the park.
is the date set in stone yet? first week of july would prob be good cause alot of people are on vacation for the 4th. just a thought. also theres bradenton track, may be he cheapest.
