I'll be going again this year, but I probably won't meet up for a caravan. Frankly I hate caravans because they typically slow you down, and I'll be crunched for time to get out there and back with minimal vacation days.
Assuming the track day is Friday, when would you guys plan on leaving Atlanta? I was thinking Wed morning between 4 and 6am. Probably leave to head back to Atlanta Mon morning about 3 or 4am.
I guess I will drive out with you Torry - my brother is moving to Kansas so I will not need to stop. Are the details for the dates set yet? and WTF HAPPENED TO THE FORUM?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You going to drive or ride with me? If you ride with me then we won't have to stop at all. If you are driving too, I'm going to have to take a power nap or 2 on the way out there. I can't stay awake 40+ hours. For the Los Angeles convention I think I stopped twice for rest, once for about 4 hours and another for about 6 hours. I'd imagine Las Vegas will be roughly the same.

I'll drive straight through, but with a 40 hour drive, I'll have to stop once or twice at a rest area and catch some Z's. It will still be a "straight through" trip though. No planned stops, just a few hours rest when I'm too tired to drive.
If I have somebody to share the drive with, then straight through no problem. 40 hours by yourself is tough.
I am really tempted to stop at the meteor crater on the way, outside flagstaff AZ.
What is this you speak of? Sounds interesting....have a link? I would like to drive staright through like old times, but if Steph and I both come, we will have the baby then, so if I dont have anyone else to help drive (unless Tyler comes) I may have to stop once. The crater seems like a cool stop.

The crater is cool if you've never seen it, but it's more like something you want to spend the day looking at, not just an hour or so.
Thats good.....I know what you mean. LOL, for some reason, everytime I picture you when you are talking to people on the forums, the only mental image I can usually picture of you is you back at the 03 convention, trashed in some long black robe/cape thing Halloween costume because it was Halloween.
I will edit this post with the names of those who actually plan to drive out to Las Vegas. I don't want to hear any "OMG thats so far" crap, I know from experience exactly how far it is.
Post up if you have the balls to do it, which I doubt any of you actually do, and I will add you to the list. I have never had any more than 4 people actually join my caravan, so I won't get my hopes up.
Will & Lisa - in whatever car we can muster
Justin - in the gas guzzler with SE-R in tow
Joe and family (happynole)
Justin (99-SEL)
Tory (EZcheese) - all alone
Hey buddy, you should change that. I'll most likely be towing with the Ram 2500 with the Cummins Diesel...the gas sipper baby! That thing gets 20-25mph towing my car behind it! Not to mention, I'll probably have boat loads of bio-diesel with me that we make now, so the diesel will only cost me a little under $1 per gal
BTW....if you and Lisa cant muster a car, you could always ride in my car while I tow it...lol jk

Man.... good thing I don't live in Florida anymore See y'all there!
