i've booked my stay through my timeshare exchange and I'll be staying Friday and Saturday night near the strip. On Thursday I was thinking about getting a room near the track since we gotta be at the track early on Friday (so no partying for me). Anyone interested in splitting a room?
BTW the room I have is at the Summer Bay Resort which is half a block away from the strip right behind Harrah's and Imperial Palace. It's a 1 bedroom condo/suite and has a sleeper sofa....so if anyone's interested in staying with me, it'll be cheap.....just might have to give me a courtesy reach around.
Dang...I gotta pay now to register. Oh well, it'll have to wait a few weeks. I just found out today I have a bubble in one of my tires so that's an unexpected $500 expense.
I did call to make a reservation, but they said we have to wait until the group code is set up, which should be by Monday.
I go to the calender, change to October, click on the link and all I get is a page that says:

Las Vegas, NV
Join the folks from the SE-R Club of America as they host the 10th annual National SE-R Convention. This time in Las Vegas, NV. Click here to register! Weekend includes a full track day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, catered picnic, raffle prizes, and plenty of partying!
Yeah, I dont think there is a group rate yet. I am a a Hilton honors platinum member and the rate I came up with is the same as what was quoted. So, I don't see any price break in the room rate yet.
What's wrong with the east coast? The conventions always jump around...
00 was middle
01 was east
02 was west
03 was southeast
04 was west
05 was middle
06 was east
07 was middle
08 is west
Pretty fair if you ask me... no excuses for missing a convention (other than being out of the country
And we are currently in the planning stages for 2009 back in the southeast, looking at late spring time.
