Pretty fair if you ask me... no excuses for missing a convention (other than being out of the country

Why hasn't it been in Florida yet?

hehe absolutely nothing wrong Sir

with the WAR dept. and 3 kids, it's not that easy to go to an East Coast or any out of state convention, got a lotta heat from the wifey just going to Track Days back there so i dragged them along to Subic I.R Track day last May 31 at the Main Island

Lol. FL is like Cuba:

Sure, they've got a lot of cool stuff there, but they only party by themselves...

There are two things pathetic here.

First of all, that we have a thread talking about this year's convention with 169 posts (170 now) and 3998 views but there is a post about 2009 with 200 posts and 4719 views.

Secondly, the fact that we have this thread where EVERYONE is bitching and moaning for a date for the convention. We've had a date for months now and this thread has been growing since then. But the fact that we have 169 posts here with nearly 4000 views and not ONE person has registered for the convention?!? WTF guys?

Back to my first point... if this convention is blown off by many, we will not be having a 2009 convention. So stop viewing and talking about that and focus on this year's convention already! Spend the 5 minutes that you WOULD spend replying to a post about the 2009 convention by registering for this year's convention. If you've lost the link, it's here:

https://www.gspec.com/p-7406-serca-c...istration.aspx

Register now. Everyone has talked about how they're definitely going. Only way you're definitely going in my eyes is if you're registered. Until then, you're just like the rest of those guys who are mystical supposed people on the internet that don't show up to anything but always say "im there!" or something stupid like that. Actions speak louder than words. I wish we had 4000 people registered for the convention. sh*t, I'd be happy if we had 169!

Get off your ass, register for the convention, and stop TALKING about it. Help get George and Lesley the seed money they need. Deposits are down for big stuff like track and picnic but other stuff is going to be coming up pretty soon like catering and the need to do nametags and all kinds of other miscellaneous costs. Everyone has TALKED about how great it would be to have a convention in Vegas but no one has SHOWED how great they think it would be by registering. The convention is in jeopardy if the turnout is as low this year as it was last year in Chicago. Support the community, help yourself out (because, trust me, the conventions are fun!)

To be totally fair, 199 of those posts were from September of last year and prior. I just wanted to pull the old info together in one place and Chis reopened it fo me to do that. I'm going to suggest he go ahead and lock it back up now that I have my info so that noone else gets the wrong idea.

All that being said, everyone does neeed to support this year's convention or I am waisting my time trying to plan one for next year.

So i was looking at the registration. I can't make the convention, but would like to buy some raffle tickets, but it's charging me $25, which i assume is for the registration for attendees. Anyway to just buy raffle tickets?

If not, that needs to be changed. Shouldn't have to pay the $25 just to support the convention with raffle tickets
