Yes, I will post more info soon. I have been talking to a few members, we are gonna run the full 3 day covention schedule. I for 1, wants the saturday to be at a drag strip being that my drag car is almost complete. We are going to do the road course on the 1st day, & as usual the picnic/carshow on the lastday. When it comes down to people helping out, I'm gonna need a lot of help. Their is a lot that's involved. I have someone working on the track for me already, As for dates I am gonna try and get some up as soon as we can secure the track. Depending on what kind of deal we work out. If it turns out to be a regualr event that we can all just pay and run off of, someone elses event for example (PDA) that would be easy. If it turns out were gonna get our own event at the track poeple will have to pay in advanced for me to secure the track etc, also for food, throphys, picnic etc. As for the Hotel I will talk to them about a gorup rate within a few days. I think were gonna keep it traditional & do the embassy. I hope my info is goood enough for now. I'm just tired of waiting, I have not missed a convention in 4 years & I don't wanna miss one next year. Its somthing I defintaley look foward to.

Sweet. I love the drag strip. I would not mind being able to actually race rather than sit in line at E-town waiting to make 2 passes all fukin day.

Shoot for May 3rd at Pocono East. The long course and double infield is way too dangerous for anything less than an advanced driver IMO. Plus those are in July and I did it once when it felt like 120 degrees! I had gum that was disintegrating in my mouth - at the end of the session it'd turned to a gritty dust! And those are usually very busy days

As a follow up to those who think the Vegas will not be happening that is not true. The main sticking point is nailing down the track date. The people in charge of Las Vegas Speedway have been off for the holidays. Lesley will be meeting with them in the next few weeks to nail down a date.

So the Vegas convention is still being worked on, but nothing be concrete until the track date is nailed down.

Jun I didn't say that. I am just mentioning just because people have not seen a date for the national SERCA convention does not mean work is not being done on it.

Who have you talked to at PDA about this? Are they prepared for a bunch of inexperienced drivers to invade their track day? That's going to mean they need a ton of instructors.

In the past, since SERCA paid for the track, they were able to make their own rules, and decide who would be instructors, that's not going to be the case if we piggyback onto a PDA event.
