95-97 are longer or shorter (i forget) than the 98-99
Thanks for your help/reply.. How much shorter are we talking?
The deal is this.. i have a 98 200SX SE.. i'm installing HotShot 1.6L header with a Stromung exhaust.. need an SE-R cat.. not sure which one to get though.. if you could clear that up for me.. that would be awesome..
Make sure you get the year for your car, cause I just bought a megan racing cat back for my 96 se-r from a guy on the net and it ended up being for the 98-99. The guy didn't know what he had, it ended up about 1.75" short. I had to get a piece of stainless welded in to make up the difference.
im thinking on getting the stromung exhaust system. is it worth the coin? or is there a better cat i can get.
As far as the exhaust being worth the coin.. here's the story:
The tubing..piping.. whatever.. is mandrel bent. Meaning.. from end of header through Stromung exhaust and out to muffler.. the diameter is the same.. meaning exhaust exits a lot quicker. The finish of the Stromung is excellent.. and the sound that it produces is very throaty and deep (nice).. not ricey at all. Plus.. it's called Stromung.. it sounds all german and sh*t
