hey guys.... i know this topic has been covered for the sr20de motor but not specific to the car itself.... i own a stock 95 200sx se-R and my friend has a 95 V6 automatic camaro (aka the slow-maro) haha i know i can beat his camaro right now but hes about to get a 95 GTI vr6 and i need to know that i will still have a faster car than him please help to assure me
dammit, thats what i thought.... ive driven the exact vr6 hes getting (it was my brother inlaws before he got an evo VIII) but it was before i got by se-R and thinking back i remembered it being quite quick but i wasnt sure if it was faster than the car i have now.... i guess it is well.... sr20det here i come
just drop in a turbo and your good to go! I dont remember the last time getting beat by any car since i went turbo! Maybe a evo-8 that boosted at 25lbs!! you have to consider for the money he is dropping downfor that car, yours will still be faster for far less!
Yeh you go turbo....then he goes supercharger..........can ya say BYE BYE! once those vr6's are supercharged its a nightmare especially if the guy is a good driver.
My bro has a jetta vr6, pretty quick with bolton's. The quarter miles times arent too impressive, but man, they were MADE for the highway, great gearing for hgh speeds. As far as being doggy, Schrick 268's cure that.
A buddy of mine has most of the parts for his turbo kit for his GTI VR6, I will probably help big-time on building his car. TO4B.. ghey. told him to save for a GT35, but took the cheap route.

John
you dont even need a DET, i used to beat those with just S4's and header, intak.
yeah i am a VW fan but they are slow the tranny's are longer then ours and the vr6's weigh in around 3,200 they are quick but i realized that an se-r was easier on the pocket book plus we got the lsd you should kill it off the line
btw i have a 98 jetta gl with mods fs if anyone is interested hahahaha

My buddy used to have a 2003 Jetta VR6 Triptronic when i had my 98 SE-R 5-speed. It used to be neck and neck when he *** had an intake. once he got exhuast he would start pullin away sometime at the top of second gear for me. But i was stock. that triptronic really slowed those things down........just go to the track and have some fun
