free springs

............. after testing and design is finalized

i have a sample of a new performance spring set coming next week. i need someone that is planning on track events and/or autocross's in the next 60 days to try them out. after the trial period i need them back to evaluate/test. these are preproduction springs that have not been shotpeened on powdercoated, so they have little long term value, except to use to check if the specs have changed in use.
these are a new product from a oem/oem replacement spring manufacturer that is wanting to enter the sport compact market.
i would prefer someone that has some experience with other aftermarket springs and that can make a critical evaluation of the spring's performance.
ultimately it would be someone in southern cal that could meet up with kojima and let him have a lap or two as well.
of course the tester will recieve a complementery set once the design has been tested and finalized.
i may brand these myself, so i am keeping the specs and manufacturer unknown for the time being.
retail is going to be ~$225 shipped
i may be able to offer "customized" spring rates and drop, in quanities of 10 sets or more.
so here's your chance to help widen the market for our cars!!!
thanks
-chuck

i need someone to install them - check fit and function

attend a track event and or autocross - let me know what you think

after the test period i need to send them back, where they will do some testing and measuring to see if there is any reduction in perfomance or whatever they test for.

basically, i'm making an effort to help the manufacturer out and get thier in house designed spring tested - if it is not to our liking they can build one to our specs (think hyperco b14 springs)

the conversation went something like this
me - i want you to build some springs for a nissan sentra for me

them - wow we just made a batch, they are sitting on a pallet waiting to go to finishing

me - well we want specific spring rates and drop

them - we made these things to be the best on the market you should try them first before your custom spec spring. i'll send you a set to try.

me - uh, ok i can probably get someone to test them

- so now i have a set of springs on the way................

i'm confident these will be the best street/daily driver springs, but may not suit the needs of the weekend warrior.

i'm kinda wanting to do a favor in hopes of favors returned

this manufacturer specializes in short run quick turnaround type work. they will build springs in small quanties (10sets +) to our specs. so no more trying to get hypercoil to fit us in their schudule or meeting their 50+ set minimums.

ummmm..... I have a B14..... I am about to swap my struts/springs/mounts out. I would be happy to try this in the process, and offer some comparisons vs. stock, and whatever springs I end up getting.

Are you looking to have these get "beaten"? As in, Put Them To the Test?

What are the "current specs" of these springs? Drop/Rate?

yup i want someone to beat up on 'em

i don't know the spec's, but that just makes it more of a "blind" test - no preconceived notions of how the spring "should" feel

let me know
-chuck

btw where in nc are you?

I am in Morrisville (5-minutes out of Raleigh). and I do have a B14

If you want them beat, I can beat them.

I don't know if i mentioned this, but I am in the process of replacing my springs and struts, so this would be perfect, as I am already in the process of working on my suspension.

I drive AT LEAST 80 miles daily, so these would get plenty of use, and a full range of testing.

I would be more than happy to provide pictures of installing them, and how they look installed.

IMHO, if these springs can do what we want, and the "testing" goes well, you could have ALOT of people interested in buying these. A great way to make a debut...

yea, i don't know why no1 else is interested. I just want to do this soon if I do, because I am ready to swap the struts, and I'd rather have the springs then as opposed to replacing them later.
