I would like to run these tire sizes on Rota Grids w/ 40mm offset. Just want to know if I'll run in to rubbing issues. These won't go on until I put in some Teins, so I'll have some extra room. These are intended for a 98SE. If anyone has used this size on their B14 and can offer any advice, I'll appreciate it. If I can't go that big, then I'll come down to 215/50/16.
I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure, but they *may* rub the wheelwells in the front when you turn the wheel all the way at that offset. The rears should be fine.

i am running that exact tire size, my tires were rubbing on the struts WITHOUT even turning on my wheels, the problem is I dont know the offset of my wheels, I put 5 mm spacers in front and they dont rub at all any more.

225-40-16 toyo t1-r on enkei or52's... 40mm offsett IIRC... Only rubbing i have noticed is on the inner fender well when the wheel is all the way turned.
on a 16 inch rim the reccomended size is 205-45... a 225-50 whould have a LOT bigger sidewall. a 225-40 and 205-45 have pretty much same sideway hight.

If you can post a pic of your car focusing on the wheel. I'd like to see what 225/40's look like and how big the side wall is. I want a comfortable ride with the ability to soak up some of NYC's big potholes and also not bend my new rims so that's why I'm thinking of 225/50's.
If you are going for 16" don't use a 50 series. It won't look good in my opinion. Cause that's what I have now . I got the tires for free and they are brand new so IM just trying beat them up until I save me some money to buy a 45 series or 40.

I dont have anypics right now but i will try and get some. They are a beautiful fit for a 7inch wide rim. Perfectly flush with no bulging. From ground to top of rubber they are stock hight. So take your rims you have right now... and imagin a 16in rim in there... That is how much rubber you would have..
Do the grids fit right on your 200sx? i just got some 16 inch slipstreams, and they wouldn't mount. The centerbore is apparently about 2mm too small.

you'll need to put a spacer on the rear. the cap from the hub is too large. I have a 20mm spacer on my grids and they sit pretty close to the fender. hope this helps.
