Bad Tach...
my b14 tach doesnt work anymore... it worked fine for years, then it wouldnt go past 5000rpm's. then it just worked sometimes and other times it didnt... now it doesnt work at all... any suggestions on trouble shooting this problem or do i just have to go buy a new one? (i'd prefer to keep factory tach)
if it makes a difference, the mileage meter (under the MPH telling the total mileage of the car) has stopped working as well, but didnt stop working until much later.

had same probelm with the tach pretty much replaced it that one went bad to so i just bought an aftermarket one and im gonna put it in place of the stock one...

My tach works for about a week then it jumps up an extra 3000 RPM for a day or two. After that, it starts working normal again. My car has around 120,000 miles and has done it since 105,000.

Has anyone had a broken tach, swapped a "Known good" cluster and still not fix the problem. and when you figgured it out, what was it?
