Is this normal?

My car STILL doesn't feel like its moving as freely as it could. I haven't gotten any good opinions yet on it and finally got a picture of what I mean. I'm just trying to compare to other people's cars so I can know if I'm just crazy, or it really isn't moving fast enough.

*I didn't take this picture - I'm not dumb*

That's 5th gear

Does anyone else's car run at 4000 rpms at only 80 mph? I swear when I bought the car it was going at 80mph at just under 3 grand.

Opinions anyone? much appreciated

There is no way youd be under 3 grand doing 80MpH... Your transmission dictates your RPMs relative to the speed, nothing else does. The only way something else would change it is if your clutch was going and slipping, which would just cause your RPMs to raise and you not gain any speed... And trust me, youd notice that to be the clutch quickly.

If you mean "it isnt moving fast enough" .. and youre doing 80MpH and people are passing you, they are just fu*king retards and speeding like crazy. I wont bitch at you for doing 80 because Ive been guilty of doing it once and awhile too, but if you think thats slow on a public road.. then get your ass on a track and try for some real speed.

I think 60 is right under 3 grand... if you car doesn't feel as fast as the speedo shows, maybe its incorrect sized tires w/ too short a sidewall.

THANK YOU EVERYONE seriously I've been racking my brain thinking something was wrong. I guess I was just so overjoyed to own an SE-R when i bought it, it felt faster. But this wasn't me racing or anything, I was on I-295 S coming home and got my friend to take a picture for you guys so I could give a clear idea as to what I meant. I'm glad thats finally cleared up.

That being taken care of, it's time for me to go get some redline trans fluid >=D

Thanks, I appreciate it!

That might be what I'm feeling. the tires arent sock size I dont believe. They're 205 50 15s.

Next time I buy tires they will all match and be bigger haha

They're sized correctly... I think you just need some upgrades soon.
