Speed sensor problems

Im in the process of swaping my auto 98 200sx SER to a 5 speed. Im using a tranny out of a NX2000. I know that the NX uses a mechanical speed sensor and my 200 uses a electronic one. Everywheres ive read said that the electronic one will drop right in, that is not the case. The electronic one will NOT fit in. after looking at the two, i noticed that the gear on the mechanical one is offset and the electronic gear is centered, see the pictures. The only way i can see to get around this is use a electronic speed sensor out of a 93-94 2.0 b13 because the sensor should be identical to the mechanical. Any ideas on what i can do?

dude, your post says you are swapping AUTO to MANUAL, you are using an AUTO sensor and trying to put it in your MANUAL tranny, thats why it will not work,

Mechanical OR Electronic Sensor will fit if it is a MANUAL sensor only,
