Ground Control vs Dropzone

I got some dropzone coilovers for my 98 200sx SE-R, and they bottom out every time i hit a bump while im cornering. Im only dropped about about 2" up front and 1"in the rear. Does any one with GC coilovers have this problem? I wanna know before i buy the GC's. Thanks

The GC's will also bottom out. If you want to lower your car more than an inch and not have any problems with bottoming out, you can't go the cheap route. You're gonna have to get yourself some front Motivational shortened struts.

DZ coilovers SUCK IMHO. If you are worried about bottoming out you can get any spring rate when you order GC's. I haven't bottomed out yet with GC/AGX's 300f/200r springs.

You will only want to be dropped about 1" in the front and 3/4" in the rear with just GC coilovers. You will definitely want to upgrade at least to AGXs. The GR-2 can't handle the spring rates. To get more of a drop without bottoming out, Motivationals are great or a compromise is Motivational rear mounts and GC Camber/Caster plates in the front. They each add about 3/4" of travel, helping to keep the car off the bumpstops. Also, make sure you have Koni or Ground Control bumpstops to go with ANY lowering. You can get these from Moti or GC.

i'm dropped about 2 inches all around. I also have Moti rear mounts folr the x-tra sus. travel. I also don't mind a stiff ride. I usually set my AGX's at 2f/4r. Its not too stiff though for daily driving.

Your stock bumpstops will work fine, but some konis will feel nicer.

Yeah, GC's are WAY better than dropzones, I got GCs with AXGs, Its the best setup I've ever had, and I have been through some other cheap setups, suspension isnt something you wanna go cheap on.
