Update 10/3/07
My favorite roofing dudes came by today to put in the skylights. They made short work out of it and even brought me a little picture album that shows all of the repairs and steps they did to the roof. They'er pretty damn proud of their work...wish everyone was that way.
Here are the skylights sitting on the garage floor...
Ahhhh.....blue sky. They're insulated, tinted, and they open.
You can see that the drywall amigos are about halfway through the process. They need to put a skim coat of plaster on the house addition and finish up with some sanding in the garage.
Now I gotta start pricing out some flourescent light fixtures. I'm probably gonna go with 4', 4 tube T5 fixtures with low-temp ballasts. The ballasts, from what I've been told, are key in making sure that the lights won't flicker and start up without any noticable hum.
