Update 11/17/07:

Light at the end of the tunnel is in sight. Got a call from the garage door fabricators and we're probably gonna be installing the week after Thanksgiving. Why the delay? We have no paved driveway....yet! The original demo and foundation guys came back in full force to start doing my new driveway with brick and soon to be poured concrete.

In the meantime, we had a chance to check out the Big Bore Bash at Willow Springs a weekend ago. Here's a shot of Dan Luckow's fastback....this car was doin' 1:31's around Big Willow and fending off former NASCAR road race cars.

Crappy underexposed shot of brick patterns being laid and they will serve as forms when the concrete is poured.

Today's shot of the dirt being compacted and rebar being placed. #4 rebar 20" O.C. with a 4-5" thick concrete pad. Say.....what's that little black post doin there?

A shot of the new stairway and landing for the entryway into the addition.

For those who were curious about the addition, here is the tile 90% done in the shower. Got the countertop for the tub and the bench in limestone too....we were lucky to have it fabbed as one piece with no seams.

Here's a hint for that little black square thingy in the driveway. I went to IMS yesterday and picked up some tube and some 3/16" hot rolled plate, welded it together, and sprayed some epoxy on it while it was still hot. Its a 24" long piece of seamless with an ID of 2". Had to do it at a friend's house since his 220 and MIG were handy.

Next up (hopefully), pics of the pour and my garage door.

-Jimmy
