very true, the 16ve pistons give what a 11:5:1 compression in a de ? they are cheap and can be purchased threw greg vogel.

head work would not be a must, but would be a major plus. it would be as reliable as a stock motor with stock internals .

brian crower stage 3 cams with a spring and retainer kit is good to like 8200-8500 from what ive heard, they wont make power that high though.

absolutely not, usdm or jdm stock compression (9:5:1) is great for turbo you do not want to run high compression pistons in a turbo application.
