Thanks. Care to link the thread where you guys are talking about it? I'd like to czech it out, both the criticisms and the compliments.
Thanks for the note on the AGX's. I could've sworn the materials said I had to turn them outwards, but I will swap em around if that's the consensus.

That's the plan for now I think. My dad has some sheetmetal, but isn't aluminum. The bonus is that it's free, but it isn't aluminum obviously. I haven't made up my mind, but it depends on how expensive the aluminum sheet is.

Yes, although I'm not sure quite how yet. I'd like to give it the same treatment as the engine bay, but that'd be a logistical nightmare. My first priority is to get her running, however.
You should definitely make a write up about your roof skin, I've been wondering about that for years.... I think it would be tight to have a carbon one

You have apparently thought my articles beneath you...
I'm a little confused as to why you would say that. I've read all 3 of your articles.

I've been giving it some thought, and actually had a request for doing a write-up on another board. I thought about carbon, but it'd depend on cost. The way aluminum is priced these days, it might be more cost effective.

Taking off the fender to fit and fabricate brackets for the SMIC:
Gave some though to how ugly my interior was this past weekend, and decided to experiment with a little cleanup.
Before:
Removing brackets:
After grinding and buffing:
White primer:
This was a test to see how things looked, and doesn't necessarily represent how the rest of the interior will look. The Krylon gloss enamel I used in the engine bay (and still have quite a few more cans left) is a bit brighter than the Nissan "Super White." As mentioned in Steve's article, white might also show dirt/wear too much. So I haven't settled on an interior color yet, and am open to suggestions.
My plan is to do something like this for the time being until I get the cage in next off-season. The white primer looks a little meh, but I'm not sure I want to go through the effort of painting the whole shabang with primer->enamel->clear.

shift munky have i met you before? did you go to that nissan meet in may in raleigh that was mainly sponsered by carolina nissan forums.com ?
If you have, it wasn't there because I haven't been to any of the Raleigh Carolina Nissans meets. I have been to some of the Charlotte ones though. Speaking of which, sign up over there if you aren't already...they need some FWD love.

Your article is teh suk. () Actually, I'm leaning toward light gray for the interior now.

My hypocracy knows no bounds...

Gray rocks out. Also, no need for clear, if it get's FUBAR'd, just respray it where it sucks. We will be running diamond plate floormats as well, for that FATF mAd Imp0rt, y0 look.

With a white car, I'm almost inclined to get wacky with the interior color. Maybe something darker like a forest green. Or burgundy...now that'd be the heat!
i think i might have asked this before, but where did you get all your fuel lines from? something local, or online
The ones at the tank were purchased from an Advance Auto Parts. Make sure you specify "fuel injection hose" as it's rated for higher pressure. It'll say on the hose, as you can see in the picture.
The blue Aeroquip hose came from a small race shop that mainly caters to domestic guys.

Dark colors = massive amplification of Summer heat...
