Nice. It's going to be loud.

That turbo extension may not fit without some hammering. That's a ripoff of the HKS turbo dump, which was really made for a RHD car. I have the SSautochrome extension just like that one and it bangs into the steering column. They've supposedly updated it with a version that fits, which you might get, but they've never changed the pics in their auctions so I don't know the difference. Will you post pics and impressions when you get yours?

You will have to dent it to get it to go in, you shouldn't have to hammer it in. The wastegate tube (the small one) tries to occupy the same space as the steering column and you have to flatten it some to get it to clear. I didn't actually install mine, I think I'm going to go a different route.

Again, you might end up with a newer one that clears OK, and if so, please post pics of the part before and after install.

you should cut the WG tube and weld on a dump tube and dump to atmosphere, you will make more power like that (of course cap off the inlet to the exhaust also)

Except that someone on Zilvia tried that and it didn't work. The divider that they put between the wastegate and the main exhaust turbine discharge doesn't seal well enough to do it that way, and you end up with a big exhaust leak. The pics are gone now but you can read it here:

http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=35539

Besides, dumping exhaust to the atmosphere is just not cool. Run it through the cat (a nice big 3-incher). Is the "cat" on that system functional or just eyewash?

Kent you treehugger

The exhaust looks similar to my brothers Apexi GT spec.

Well, what can I say? I still drive a car; if I was REALLY an enviro-nut I'd be driving a hybrid or walking. My wife really wants a hybrid but they're too new for us to afford. But yes, I do care about that sort of thing...

^^^ yea, i know its going to def sound horrible while its on my car n/a before i get my motor complete but i'm hoping the turbo will quiet it down a lot. If it becomes unbearable, i'll just have to hack it up and throw a nice long pre-muffler on there.

The turbo will help considerably, and a real cat will also help; is that "cat" an actual catalytic convertor, or just a testpipe? If it was resonated that would also cut down on the noise...

I know, a joke. I was just asking, with regard to the whole noise question in this thread, and just stating a fact: that a cat cuts down on the noise. Don't read too far into it. Nothing was, you know, implied

I also don't wear panties; boxers only for the most part...
