S14 Body With S13 Motor (black Top)

I MAY BE GETTING A S14 (1995) SOON AND THOUGHT ABOUT PUTTING A motor inside. will it be more difficult to put in a s13 motor inside (black top). i still want ac or should i go for the s14 motor? or buy a car that that matches the motor (s13 body with s13 motor) (s14 body with s14 motor)?

It would be easier to do the S14/S14 swap.

For the S13 into an S14 body, the SR AC will bolt up, but then youll have to use S13 AC lines.

Also the S13 has 8 wires or so that you have to connect to the battery area wiring (on an S13) but S14 doesnt have this. So you have to run these 8 wires from inside the engine bay, back to the connector under the dash, not the ECU connector, but the other one next to it, then youll have to find out which of the 30+ wires on the S14 connector you have to use to match them to the S13 rerouted batery wires.

You also use your S14 lower harness on the S13 tranny. A few plugs from the S14 harness will not have mates on the S13 tranny, so youll leave them unpluged and it will work just fine.

The GReddy down pipe for an S13 DET will have clearance problems on an S14, so youll have to either use a stock one, or have a custom one made, or modify the GReddy pipe.

The intercooler is simple, you buy a S13 Blitz intercooler kit, it WILL bolt up to the S14 chasis with no problems, then have a custome hot IC pipe made, or buy the heavy throttle Hot IC pipe, it will not fit properly, but it can if you cut it and extend in a few inches with rubber fittings.

The Speedometer on the other hand Im not sure about yet, for some reason ours isnt working, Im sure its just as simple as finding out what wire on the S13 controls it and then do the same for the S14 and the splice them together.

It may be that were using the S14 speed sensor on the S13 tranny???
