5 lug questions

A few questions...what's cheaper, conversion hubs for $850, or parts off of other nissans?
And exactly what parts from what other nissans do you need to do an all around 5 lug conversion?

Thanks very much guys,
I'm new to this s13 things, i just sold my b13 to move to the RWD scene...

The S13 can use aftermarket hubs up front and rear. Another configuation is aftermarket front and S14 (or 300zx) 5-lug rear. You should replace the hub seals when you do this. No other parts are required.

If you want to go all OEM, you'll need S14 lower control arms with the ball joints in addition to the S14 hubs for the front. Rear is still the S14 5-lug hubs.

You can press S14 ball joints in the S13 LCA's, but I've heard mixed results under heavy track use.

The aftermarket route was a lot more expensive, but recent brands like S5 and Ichiba have brought the cost down considerably.

I will probably go with GTO or Attain hubs for my S13, but I have all the parts (except good LCA's) for the 5-lug swap, which cost me around $300, including the almost useless S14 calipers.

Search around and ask people about their swap experiences.

Here is a post that I just read that has some information: http://www.sr20forum.com/240sx/166957-s14-hub-s13.html

You need S14 spindles, S14 ball joints (you can use the S13 arms), and the S14 hubs in the front.

Rear is simply bolting on S14 hubs.

That's the S5 configuration I mentioned. It works with only the hubs, but you may want to replace the seals. Good luck.

i was talkin to vinny ten about this the other day, according to him the best way to get your self 5 lug is to buy the complete 300zx front brake set you get yourself a nice set of brakes and 5 lug conversion, and for the back go and get a 300zx rearend, the whole thing cause then you get your self axles an lsd, brakes and the 5 lug hubs and it bolts right in, and youll never have to worry about gettin the rearend cause if you want just the hubs n sh*t its a bitch plus you got some nice brakes and a lsd for a bonus.

front z32 hubs aren't gonna work. You will need aftermarket or s14. LOL.

the rear z32 uprights are waaay lighter but will necessitate using different rear struts as the bottom mount is different. many coilovers can have the bottom mount changed like KTS.
