No real updates till now. I have pictures that I will post later. I have been working on the swap for many days now. It was a trial to get all the bearings I needed for the swap, replaced all the mains and rods. Just getting all the right bearings took weeks due to minor errors. Engine went together with no real issues. This saterday was spent unhooking the KA stuff. Ted and his new bride came by and help for a little bit on saterday. Sunday has been spent pulling the old KA/Auto combo. My wife and I successfully got the KA out and the SR is sitting pretty. Now I need to figure out the wiring. Props to Tracy for doing a great job womening the host and sliding the engine back in smooth as butter. Anyway, I will post pictures latter when things aren't such a mess.
Glad to see its finally getting a manual operated power plant. If this is anything like your car is, we expect big things from it.
Hope all is well in CO.

Well, this was not a very good day. I did accomplish a lot but got stuck at the end. I figured the wiring out. Same basic stuff as NissanTuner but minor changes. My TB and his are different. I have 5 or six wires and two plugs. But in the end it doesn't matter as I am going to use the KA TB because me SR TB is frozen shut. Then I need to switch the plug to the knock sensor and reattach all the other stuff. No big deal. Problem is I have both the SR cooling lines slam up against the firewall. I need to pull the engine out just to take off the parts I don't need so I can attach my heater lines. PITA. I also cut the wire that I was using to lift the engine and my straps got f'd up so I need a couple more. Just stupid stuff. Never saw anyone post how they take care of the heater lines but I really wish I had taken that hoses off before I dropped the engine into place.
The heater hoses on the JDM cars point to the left side, USDM to the right. Heavy Throttle and some others sell hoses that will mate with the US inlet/outlet. And yeah, they're impossible to get to with the engine in the car.

Let me tell you a tale, of a man. Not merely a man, but a god. His name, was Rob.
Armed only with pre-existing heater lines, and a pair of sh*tty dykes, he managed over the course of a half an hour to reroute the lines, with the engine in the car. To this day, they remain in working condition. A testament of his patience and fortitude towards inatimate objects.
I can't even get to the heads of the hoses that are keeping the hoses attached to the metal lines. They are not point up but off to the back of the car.
Either a GT30 of some sort or a GT2871/76 of some sort. 350whp ish is the goal. Seriously, you did notice the 6 puck.
I've seen it all in the RWD community. It's common place to find KA24DE's with an intake and a 6 puck o' death clutch on it with enough friction to stop the earth from rotating.
If you are shooting for 350whp a GT30 framed turbo is a bit overkill IMO.
