which car shoud I go with a 1990240 or a 1973 240?

Right now i own a 1990 nissan 240sx with little to no rust i would like to put the sr20 into it but i won't be able to do that for a while. Now for the other car its a 1973 240z. it has a new motor with only 6thousand miles on it. The body is excellent condition with no rust from what i can see but in order to get it i'm going to have to sell my 240sx . i would like any opinion on which was i should go.

i love those old z's. my mother has a 71 240 series 1 with a 4 speed. for a car thats over 30 years old, its pretty fun to drive. whats the new motor in the z?? just a stock i6 or something else?

ya it would be nice to be able to keep both which i'm tryin to get something worked out so that i can. but as far as it goes with reliability the older on would be more relieable. I'm havin so many problems with sx its not even funny, but all those problems will go away once i get the sr.

Early eighties. The 280ZX Turbo. I had a 2+2 model. Yes, I was driving in the eighties.

Most likely there is nothing wrong with your first gear, Nissans don't like to shift into first unless you're at a dead stop.

..if you're seriously gonna sell your 240, hit me up. I could find you a buy here in New Mexico or in Arizona.

Don't believe that the 240Z your looking at has 0 rust. Check the floor boards, below the hatch, wheel wells, poke the floor rails with a screwdriver to make sure they are in good condition. Lots of old Z's have cancer like you wouldn't believe.

well after test drivin the old 240 i decided to keep my sx. I didn't like the way the 240 drove and the previous owner riced it out. he put flames and lame stuff like that all over the dash, oh and some lame neons. it was pretty riced out on the inside.
