Sorry, im a noob

From what I understand my car is telling itself to use more fuel than it needs, and as a result it is leaking a bit of fuel.

At the back of what? Be specific. Tell us exactly where it's coming from.

Take a picture. You may be talking about the fuel pressure regulator.

or the back means the fuel pump, but there is no reason it shodl be leaking there unles either the pressure or return line is cracked back by the pump.

Fuel pressure is not actually controlled by the fuel pump/sending unit. There is a small regulatr up near the front of the engien that controlls fuel pressure and this is what will allow more or less fuel.

if something is leaking, look for a broken line, replace such line and have fun without leaks.

so you're not running really rich? its just leaking from the car onto the ground?

if thats the case i would park in a parking lot in a decently clean spot and let the car idle til it drips. turn the car off and jack it up a bit and see if you can find where its coming from.
can you smell gas inside the car?

that sounds like bad news bears right there.

open up the gray colored plate in the rear of the car and see if the fuel lines coming from the fuel pump need to be replaced.
