what are the advantages to an S14?

Dont they have the same potential of an S13 but yet wiegh in at around 2800 lbs. Even the S15 weighs way less than it, i believe around 2500 lbs. I might pick up an S13 within a few months so doing my homework. Do the S14 and S13 have same suspension, body ridigy, any diffrence that would even out that diffrence. I know the S13 style is outdated but it still sexy. Im kinda starting to like the Sil80s.

Actually I love my s14.5 but the s13 is lighter and slightly more nimble because of it. the advantage to the s14 is that is is newer and more luxerious inside. The s13 coupe is argueably the best platform to start with when looking at weight, rigidity, and power potential. most of all it is personal preference. gl

s-14`s rock.

i have had both s-13 (sil-80) and now a s14

i like the s14 more its more my style the interior is newer. it alll about personal prefrence.

the s-14 and s-14 have totally different suspentions.

the s-14 is a lot harder to find parts for also even in japan

the s-13 is a cheaper car to find parts for.

but i love my s14... ryan

the S14 may be heavyer but it is more balanced than the S13 from what i hear!! also, the S13 fastback, S13 silvia(u need the conversion lol) and zenski S14 are all sexy as hell!!!!

the kouki s14 is nice but not as nice as teh zenski, but if u cant decide get a s13 fastback and do a kouki s14 front end conversion (im tossin that idea around for when i have money) which is DEAD SEXY!!!! and then ull have both heheheheheh

Don't forget the one definite advantage (a lot of the other things are personal preference when it comes down to it) - the S14 is NEWER. Less miles, fewer rattles, etc.

Weight matters. Balance can be worked out. If you want to get the "balance" then bolt lead in the trunk. Now you wouldn't do that would you on a street of race car unless you were forced to.

s13 and s14 suspensions are almost exactly the same, the only differances are the legnth of the rear strut, and the legnth on the front LCA. i have S14 LCAs on my s13, because they widen the track by 10mm. and i have camber plates, so i dont have too much negative camber in the front.

you should just get a 94 coupe, and do a one-via conversion to it... sick as hell.

i hope you all knew i was joking?

S14s are newer looking and more expensive. If I could I would go for the S14. Check out Jim Schumacher's ride here:

yea i think im gonna go all crazy and get a vert S13 with an SR20 under the hood. yea, yea, yea....i know the extra weight, and weak ass chassis, AT, but damn that will give those eclipse GS-T's verts a run for their money.

Yea i like the fastback to 240's. I think the pop up headlights look more modern than the projector lenses on the coupes. but yea, if the S14 werent so damn xpensive and weight more, and mostly come in auto tranny, i might consider it. but now im gonna start looking for a cheap vert.

s14 is more rigid, better balanced, more stable and has a wider track, not to mention they look better (matter of opinion)

ive owned both s13 and s14

and the s14 hardly weighs more then the s13, my s14 weighs in at 2520 witht he spare tire in it, my s13 SE weighe din at 2740 witht he spare tire and everything in it. same scale

so.... S14s are better

Gotta factor in the girls. S14 done right= looks from the lady's. S13 lighter faster, only guys care . S14 isn't that much different than the S13 besides the looks.

The chics will dig the S14.
