Spec V rims on 92 240sx......

FYI for 240 pimps....

Last Sat, NorCal had a All Nissan meet in Sacramento. There was a guy who was "pimping" in 92 Vail While 240SX with Spec V rims. Damnnnnnn! Drool over the photograph....

In talking with him, it was a bolt on, no spacers or adapters. Same bolt pattern is SE-R Spec V. He has Eibach Pro Kits 1.5 drop. Car rides on rails.

So, whatcha think?

Looks good and fits, but I understand that the offset high enough that if he gets big brakes or coilovers they won't fit any more.

Tell him not to go over on any of the 240 boards, he'll get flamed big time.

wayyy to high, needs to be like 1" lower. theyre nothing special, just 17", FWD offset wheels, so they arent flush, and clearance without spacers is questionable. the fact that the bolt pattern is the same has be known for some time, theyre just not nice enough for anyone to spend the money on FWD wheels. all us 240 guys could go around rocking 80's mustang wheels, but we dont, cause its pointless.

once again, it needs to be dropped, and if you think eibachs ride on rails... how many times have you riden in a car with coilovers?

That looks just like my car. I don't mind the look too much but the offset is wrong so oh, well.

I was actually thinking of picking up a used set of Spec-V 17's because of the wheel width. I don't much like the fact that it's a 17 because of rotational inertia, but I do need the width for track use. A 2500-lb. car with a redtop will probably lose traction frequently with stock wheels...

Any thoughts? How much have you guys seen a decent set for?
